Privacy Policy

Sheep Don’t Lie · last updated 4 October 2026

Sheep Don’t Lie is made by Sergey Kalaus. This policy covers the game on every platform: the web version at sheep.kalaus.me and the apps for Windows, macOS and iOS.

The short version

The game does not collect, send or sell any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The website’s own pages use Google Analytics only if you agree — see “Analytics on the website”.

What stays on your device

Your saved game, your settings (language and volume) and the list of hints you have already heard are stored only on your own device — in your browser’s local storage on the web, or in the app’s own storage on Windows, macOS and iOS. They are never sent anywhere. Deleting the app, or clearing the site’s data in your browser, removes them.

No network connections

Everything the game needs — images, sounds, voice and video — ships with it. While you play, the game makes no network requests of its own.

The website

When you open sheep.kalaus.me, your browser downloads the game files from our server. Like any website, the server and our network provider (Cloudflare) process technical data needed to deliver those files and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This data is used only to run and secure the site, is not combined with anything else and is not used to identify you.

Analytics on the website

Only on the website’s own pages — the home page, this policy, the Terms and Support, never inside the game — we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to count visits and clicks on the play, download and store buttons. It runs only if you choose “Accept” in the banner; until then it is not even loaded.

With your consent Google Analytics sets cookies on sheep.kalaus.me (_ga and _ga_…, kept for up to two years) and receives the pages you open, the buttons you click, your browser, device and language, and your approximate location. Google uses your IP address only to work out that location and does not store it. Google may process the data in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We keep analytics data for no longer than 14 months.

Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it, with “Cookie settings” here or at the bottom of the home page; the cookies are then deleted. You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and to complain to a data protection authority.

App stores

If you get the game from the Apple App Store or the Microsoft Store, the store handles the download and any purchase under its own privacy policy. We receive only the anonymous, aggregated statistics the store provides to all developers.

Children

Because the game collects no personal data, it collects none from children either.

Changes and contact
